Ride the Vallejo Ferry

I’ve been riding the Vallejo Baylink Ferry to San Francisco and back for quite a while now. It all started when I abandoned my motorcycle commute as it became very apparent that I was living on borrowed time. Too many close calls with people driving as though they were watching television on their living room couch or eating breakfast in their kitchen or chatting on their phone on the front porch. So many people were doing everything but paying attention on that HWY 80 corridor from Vallejo to San Francisco. And so I got off the bike and started relaxing a bit more.

The best part of the Vallejo ferry is seeing regular faces month after month and year after year. Folks you meet often become your friends. It’s pretty great.

I am way more relaxed commuting on the Vallejo Baylink Ferry to San Francisco and back. One of the great things is the ability to go to the bar, and get yourself a snack and a beer, and then watch the sunset on the commute home. It can be an amazing experience.

Riding the Vallejo Ferry you will see the Bay Bridge, and on a non-foggy day the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge, and the Richmond Bridge, and finally the Carquinez Bridge. Amazing to see all these great bridges on one ferry ride!
